The zombie series is based on the comic series of the same name, and it premiered on AMC back in 2010. Andrew Lincoln starred as Rick Grimes, a sheriff who wakes from a coma after getting shot, only to discover that the world has gone to hell, with the living outnumbered by the dead.
Darabont himself had been a fan of the zombie genre since seeing George A. Romero's 1968 film Night of the Living Dead when he was fourteen years old.[8] ""Night of the Living Dead" had this weird vibe that was almost - it was like pornography... It had this marvelously attractive, disreputable draw... I loved it immediately."[9] Darabont recalls walking into a comic book store in Burbank, California and seeing The Walking Dead on the shelf in 2005. "Being that I've always had "the love of zombies genre," I of course grabbed it, took it home and read it, and immediately started pursuing the rights to it. I thought it would make a great TV show... I loved the idea of an extended, ongoing, serialized dramatic presentation set in the zombie apocalypse."[9] He described the process of developing the series and getting it set up at a network as "four years of frustration," and credits executive producer Gale Anne Hurd with finally getting the series on AMC. "I can't remember what the hell prompted her to read it [the script], but she said, "Wow, I really love this pilot you wrote. What are you doing with it?" I said I'd been trying to set it up forever... She said "I think AMC might be the place to take this." She did, and then bam! They were immediately interested. I had to credit Gale, her insight into marrying the material and the buyer."[9]
The Walking Dead | 1. Sez...
The season continues the story of Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln) and his group of survivors as they continue to survive in a post-apocalyptic world invaded by flesh-eating zombies, dubbed "walkers". Set several months after the attempted attack on the prison by The Governor (David Morrissey) and his army, Rick has renounced his leadership in order to live a quiet and more peaceful life in contrast to his cold-hearted nature in the previous season. Striving to hold onto humanity, Rick and his fellow survivors struggle to maintain their close to an ideal life at the prison as problems arise in the face of new evil, and threats within and outside the premises, including a deadly flu strain and the return of the vengeful Governor.
The walking dead cannot end on that note. We need to know what Rick and Michonne did for the last 2 seasons. People waited years for THAT ending. Give us more! One more season to perfectly wrap it up.
Tonight's episode picks up essentially where last week's premiere left off. Patrick, the young, nerdy boy with the black-framed glasses, has died, and come back a walker. Having died in the showers of cell block D, he wanders back to the living quarters, to feast on a sleeping, and snoring, resident. Soon enough, there will be a major, deadly outbreak in the block, of both whatever killed Patrick, and zombies.
you will see all of that in the spin off try watching beyond the walking dead the crm (people hunting Rick the the helicopter) are the main villains on that and Rick and machine are making their own spin off when I assume she will find rick
ending walking dead with rick and Michonne not at least making it back to the kids is pure garbage of a ending for a beloved series like walking dead that myself and so many people around the world love so much the fans deserve a better ending then that

The following day, he is walking along an abandoned highway when he comes across wrecked cars. He scavenges for water, when a gang roll up and take care of several Infected on the road. They spot Nick and chase him, but he escapes. For his second night on the road, he sleeps on top on a wrecked van. That night, Nick huddles by a van as the temperature plummets. In a flashback, he and Gloria wait in the hallway of the rehab facility. They see Gloria's well-to-do parents check in at the front desk. Madison arrives and waves at him. They are taken to a private room, where in Madison tells Nick why his father isn't visiting; he died in a head-on collision. Nick breaks down and screams in grief. Gloria looks in the room and sees Madison hugging Nick.
Later that day, still covered in blood, he is walking among the herd along the road towards Tijuana, suffering from dehydration. He hallucinated that the zombies were talking to him and that an infected Gloria was walking with him. While in this state, the gang that chased him the day before turn up again and start shooting the zombies. One of the outlaws recognizes Nick within the throng. Spooked by Nick's glare, he freezes and struggles to reload. The herd devours the outlaw and one of his accomplices and the lone survivor drives off.
Later, Nick collapses and is spotted by Luciana Galvez and Francisco, but is left lying on the road. Eventually, Nick falls to the ground, dehydrated and exhausted. Francisco insists on saving him but Luciana refuses. He tells her that Nick is dying, and she changes her mind. Nick lays dying on the asphalt, barely conscious. In a flashback, he shoots heroin with Gloria in the shooting gallery at the Los Angeles church, the day before he encountered her undead body. Back in the present, rain begins to fall, reviving Nick who does his best to drink the rain.
A pharmacist named Alejandro Nuñez treats Nick's wound in an infirmary, remarking that Nick is foolish to walk with the dead, despite his reasoning that it is safe. He invites Nick outside and he finds himself in the La Colonia, a walled survivor community. The streets are alive with bustling store stalls, people going about their business, and laughing children.
A man covered in blood approaches and Luciana calls him Echo. He says he found Pablo, but that he was in pieces. Luciana tries to watch the conversation, but is at a distance. She goes over to investigate as the children surround Nick. After the break, Nick and Luciana are walking away from La Colonia. He tells her she didn't have to come, but she says he doesn't know Spanish. Luciana reveals Pablo was her brother, and she goes on to talk about their story after the infection. Her father was gone before it started and their mother lost contact. Nick embraces Luciana and apologizes, and they share another moment.
Nick enters Jeremiah's house to find him drunk moving furniture. Nick turns down a drink and request Jeremiah slow down the drinking. Nick asks what happened to his hand and he insists it distracts from the headaches. Nick encourages him to grab some sleep here. Jeremiah begins discussing how important this ranch is to him. He flips the table in anger. Nick goes to pick it up but Jeremiah brings his gun over and shoots three holes through it. Nick is startled and takes the gun from him. "I'm sorry," Jeremiah said. "Your home, your gun. There's blood in it. It's in the Earth." The next morning, Jeremiah finds Nick outside the house and Nick relieves him by saying he wasn't around last night, clearly playing along. Jeremiah sees a horse outside of the gate. It's Vernon's. He yells to Nick to go get his mother. Nick, Madison and Jeremiah leave the ranch on a pickup to search for Vernon's family on the road. Madison reasons that the horse may have escaped on its own but Jeremiah predicts that the Trimbol family is dead.
Nick rushes to the community to see people panicking. There are walkers roaming about and eating people. Nick, Madison and Alicia start fighting the dead with guns of their own. Ofelia emerges from the house and looks on. Nick calls for her but she goes off on her own. Nick calls for everyone to stop her as she rushes off but suddenly becomes sick. Nick falls to the ground in pain and realizes that Ofelia is responsible for the illness. Madison chases after Ofelia.
Back near the Ranch, Nick watches men dispatch infected headed their way. Nick rules the dead are drawn by the cattle but a man from the Nation determines they'll die soon from lack of water. Nick walks over and shoots a cow in the head to keep the dead away.
How different sensory stimuli are collected, processed, and further transformed into a coordinated motor response is a fundamental question in neuroscience. In particular, the internal and external conditions that drive animals to switch to backward walking and the mechanisms by which the nervous system supports such behavior are still unknown. In fruit flies, moonwalker descending neurons (MDNs) are considered command-type neurons for backward locomotion as they receive visual and mechanosensory inputs and transmit motor-related signals to downstream neurons to elicit backward locomotion. Whether other modalities converge onto MDNs, which central brain neurons activate MDNs, and whether other retreat-driving pathways exist is currently unknown. Here, we show that olfactory stimulation can elicit MDN-mediated backward locomotion. Moreover, we identify the moonwalker subesophageal zone neurons (MooSEZs), a pair of bilateral neurons, which can trigger straight and rotational backward locomotion. MooSEZs act via postsynaptic MDNs and via other descending neurons. Although they respond to olfactory input, they are not required for odor-induced backward walking. Thus, this work reveals an important modality input to MDNs, a novel set of neurons presynaptic to MDNs driving backward locomotion and an MDN-independent backward locomotion pathway. 2ff7e9595c
